What alterations do you do?
Everything a seamstress and a dressmaker do: hems, zips, buttons, taking in and letting out, waists, jacket and shirt tailoring, linings, invisible mending, leather and coats, and evening and wedding dresses.
We work with industrial straight-stitch machines, an overlocker and a coverstitch machine. A t-shirt hem done on a coverstitch has a professional finish that a home machine cannot give.
Jeans hem keeping the original
We cut above the factory hem, reattach it with a fine seam and press it so the join hides in the edge. From €12 (a plain hem is from €7), and what we recommend on good jeans.
Zips
YKK zips of the same type as the original: metal for jeans, nylon or invisible for skirts and dresses, open-ended for anoraks. If only the slider is worn we replace just that, for €8–12.
How much do alterations cost in Barcelona?
A trouser hem costs from €7, a dress or skirt hem from €12, a trouser zip from €12 and taking in a waist from €15, VAT included; taking in a jacket is from €18, a coat hem from €25 and an anorak zip is quoted on the garment.

Alter or replace? When is an alteration worth it?
An alteration is worth it when the fabric is still in good condition or the garment is no longer made, and you always get the price before we start.
We will tell you when not to repair: if an alteration is going to cost more than the garment, or the fabric will not hold, we say so before starting.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment for alterations?
No. Walk in Monday to Friday 8:00–21:00 or Saturday 10:00–21:00 at Carrer de Galileu 22. For made to measure and wedding dresses we recommend booking an appointment.
How long do alterations take?
Usually about 7 days. Quick jobs such as a hem or a button are often ready the same day if the workshop schedule allows, and we offer an urgent 24–48 h service from +€4.
Can you hem my jeans keeping the original hem?
Yes, and we recommend it when the factory hem is in good condition. It costs from €12 (a plain hem is from €7) and it keeps the original wear and stitching.
Do you alter leather and suede?
Yes: zips, sleeves, linings and seams on leather and suede jackets, with a specific leather needle and a triple-feed machine. Leather cannot be let out, and we will tell you so.
What if I am not happy with the result?
It is corrected free of charge. Every alteration carries a 3-month professional guarantee, and we check the result with you before handing the garment over.
Do you alter men’s clothes?
Yes: hems, waists, jackets, shirts, sleeves with and without working buttons, zips and linings.
Can I pay by foreign card?
Yes, Visa or Mastercard, as well as cash, Bizum and bank transfer.
