At Taller Costura Barcelona Cleo, Carrer de Galileu 22 in Sants, about five minutes from Badal and Plaça de Sants metro: a real, physical workshop where we speak English.
We work with expats, visitors and couples getting married in Barcelona. We know the usual worries: not understanding the quote, not knowing when it will be ready, not being able to explain exactly what you want. So we confirm the price with you before starting, tell you the usual turnaround and fit the garment on you, with your shoes.
Cleo is a dressmaker trained in industrial pattern making, and the workshop opened in 2023. In practice that means an alteration here is corrected on the pattern, not just on the seam.
Local atelier vs. alterations chain vs. dry cleaner: where should you take your clothes in Barcelona?
For a straight hem, any of the three will do; for anything that changes the shape of the garment (taking in, waists, shoulders, dresses, wedding gowns, leather) choose an atelier with a dressmaker who fits the garment on you.
We are not against chains: for a plain job on an everyday garment they work. If the alteration changes the shape, ask to be fitted.

Do you speak English?
Yes. Cleo and the team serve customers in English, Spanish and Catalan, in the shop, by phone and on WhatsApp.
How much does a trouser hem cost in Barcelona?
At Taller Costura Barcelona Cleo a trouser hem costs from €7, VAT included; on jeans keeping the original hem it is from €12. Usual turnaround is about 7 days; urgent service in 24–48 h from +€4.
Do I need an appointment?
No for alterations: walk in Monday to Friday 8:00–21:00 or Saturday 10:00–21:00. Yes for made to measure, wedding dresses and production meetings; book on WhatsApp +34 614 254 704.
How do I pay?
Cash, card (Visa/Mastercard), Bizum or bank transfer.
Can you alter my wedding dress if I am getting married in Barcelona but live abroad?
Yes. You can send us your dress in advance by courier, with photos and measurements sent over WhatsApp beforehand, so we can plan the fittings around your travel dates. You will typically need 2–3 fittings.
Do you work with foreign fashion designers?
Yes. We work in English and there is no minimum order: send us your tech pack, sketch or a photo of the garment and the approximate quantity, and we reply with an initial estimate.

Can I ship clothes to you from another city?
Yes, for wedding dresses, suits, leather, coats and made-to-measure orders. For very small alterations it is not worth the postage, and we will tell you so.
